Tracey is a professional engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University. She joined PEO in January 2014 and is currently PEO’s Manager, Engineering Intern Programs. Prior to joining PEO, Tracey worked at Hatch Ltd. for 9 years, gaining exposure to numerous projects within the mining industry. She worked as a piping engineer for seven years on large scale mining projects, specializing in all stages of EPCM with a focus on non-ferrous hydrometallurgical process plants. She spent the remainder of her time at Hatch working in the management consulting group, providing financial analysis and due diligence to help clients identify key project risks and opportunities.Â
In the role of Manager, Engineering Intern Programs, Tracey is part of PEO’s External Relations department and is responsible for providing guidance and support to post-secondary students and engineering graduates on their pathway to licensure. This includes working with engineering employers, universities, student organizations, settlement agencies, and others to increase awareness of PEO’s licensure requirements and process. In addition, Tracey oversees PEO’s legacy EIT Program, PEO’s Student Membership Program, and maintains PEO’s involvement in Engineers Canada’s 30 by 30 initiative.Â

Presentation Synopsis:
PEO has introduced changes to their license application process as of May 2023 that make applying for an engineering license more efficient and transparent. This informational session will provide an overview of the new application process and licensing requirements for Canadian and International engineering graduates.

The new academic and licensing requirements in Ontario,
An overview of the National Professional Practice Exam,
