IEEE Canada

IEEE Canada is dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. It is the Canadian arm of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and serves as a constituent society of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC). IEEE Canada focuses on the technical fields of electrical, electronics, and computer engineering. The organization operates around 21 sections, organized as local entities within three main areas: Western Canada, Central Canada, and Eastern Canada. These sections operate independently while supporting the broader objectives of IEEE Canada.

IEEE Canada provides a range of resources and services to its members, including experience, funding, contacts, and networking opportunities. It also publishes an electronic newsletter, a general interest magazine, a technical journal, and Engineering History books through the IEEE Canada Press. The organization hosts several conferences annually, including regional conferences and the bi-annual ANTEM conference, to facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration within the engineering community.

IEEE Canada is also involved in educational initiatives, offering scholarships, grants, and awards to support students in their educational endeavors and recognizing the achievements of its members. The organization's commitment to fostering both student growth and member success is evident in its provision of valuable resources and support for volunteer networks of local Sections, Chapters, and Student Branches.
